A Tailored mHealth Intervention for Improving Antenatal Care Seeking and Health Behavioral Determinants During Pregnancy Among Adolescent Girls and Young Women in South Africa: Development and Protocol for a Pilot Randomized Controlled Trial

The questions were adapted from the work by Reddy et al [26]. Knowledge of antenatal appointment attendance was measured using 16 statements informed by maternity booklets. Construction of the attitude, self-efficacy, peer norm, and intention items was based on the reasoned action approach by Fishbein and Ajzen [44], and the action planning, risk perception, and social support items were informed by the I-Change Model [45].
