The application of priming techniques to trigger mental models of attachment security or avoidance can lead to a temporary enhancement of people’s sense of security or anxiety due to the activation of pre-existing attachment-related memories [40,41]. Thus, attachment security priming can increase individuals’ health and well-being, as the contextual activation of a nurturing attachment figure reduces stress and increases positive mood [42].
