The Rephagia biofeedback system uses s EMG to assess muscle strength, stamina, and timing of the swallowing action and visualizes this using a graph. Furthermore, the s EMG signal from the patient may be used in an interactive game using various exercises in which timing and strength of the swallowing action are trained.

Recent reviews and meta-analyses have concluded that music-based interventions may be beneficial for gait, timing of upper extremity functions, and quality of life after stroke [8] and may improve gait and mobility in people with PD [13] and motor and cognitive functions in people with HD [12]. NMT interventions such as RAS are thought to compensate for the loss of BG-generated timing and rhythm signals with external rhythmic cueing [16].
