Best Practice Guide for Reducing Barriers to Video Call–Based Telehealth: Modified Delphi Study Among Health Care Professionals

Best Practice Guide for Reducing Barriers to Video Call–Based Telehealth: Modified Delphi Study Among Health Care Professionals

A total of 9 health care professionals (4 physiotherapists (PTs), 3 speech and language therapists (SLTs), 1 dietitian, and 1 midwife) were purposively recruited based on their experience with telehealth. All participants were licensed and currently practicing health care professionals with at least 2 years of experience in their field. They each had conducted a minimum of 10 video-based telehealth sessions in the preceding quarter and practiced in an area where telehealth is applicable.

Usage, Attitudes, Facilitators, and Barriers Toward Digital Health Technologies in Musculoskeletal Care: Survey Among Primary Care Physiotherapists in Norway

Usage, Attitudes, Facilitators, and Barriers Toward Digital Health Technologies in Musculoskeletal Care: Survey Among Primary Care Physiotherapists in Norway

The physiotherapy service in primary care in Norway is organized as a combination of municipality-employed physiotherapists on a fixed salary and physiotherapists in private practice. Municipality-employed physiotherapists typically work in an in-patient or home-based setting, either alone or as a part of a multidisciplinary team.

Revolutionizing Care: Unleashing the Potential of Digital Health Technology in Physiotherapy Management for People With Cystic Fibrosis

Revolutionizing Care: Unleashing the Potential of Digital Health Technology in Physiotherapy Management for People With Cystic Fibrosis

Physiotherapists, originally involved in CF care for chest clearance in 1946, now participate in a global clinical and research network, developing national and international clinical guidance and standards of care [3,10-12]. While global standards of clinical care exist, there will be variations in the implementation of these and DHTs due to socioeconomic factors, availability of infrastructure, and accessibility in health care settings and beyond [13,14].

Understanding the Sociocultural Challenges and Opportunities for Affordable Wearables to Support Poststroke Upper-Limb Rehabilitation: Qualitative Study

Understanding the Sociocultural Challenges and Opportunities for Affordable Wearables to Support Poststroke Upper-Limb Rehabilitation: Qualitative Study

We used our extended networks and local institutions to reach out to physiotherapists and recruited 4 Bangladeshi physiotherapists through medical colleges in Dhaka and 4 British physiotherapists through our contacts at the School of Healthcare Sciences at Cardiff University and the Stroke Association. Five of them were women, and 3 were men. They were aged between 35 and 50 years and had 8 to 14 years of experience working as physiotherapists; they all had experience with ULR.

Health Care Professional–Supported Co-Design of a Mime Therapy–Based Serious Game for Facial Rehabilitation

Health Care Professional–Supported Co-Design of a Mime Therapy–Based Serious Game for Facial Rehabilitation

To develop RG4 Face, a co-design procedure (Figure 1) was conducted with physiotherapists (n=16) and psychologists (n=5; Multimedia Appendix 3) to obtain the necessary knowledge on the game requirements. In the first stage, a version of the game was developed with an initial idea (Multimedia Appendix 1). In the second, we recruited physiotherapists and psychologists to participate in co-design meetings (August to November 2022) and answer a questionnaire.

Effectiveness of Educational Interventions to Increase Knowledge of Evidence-Based Practice Among Nurses and Physiotherapists in Primary Health Care: Protocol for a Systematic Review

Effectiveness of Educational Interventions to Increase Knowledge of Evidence-Based Practice Among Nurses and Physiotherapists in Primary Health Care: Protocol for a Systematic Review

Bearing in mind that not all health care professionals received training about EBP during their career trajectory, this raises questions about which educational interventions are most effective at increasing EBP skills among nurses and physiotherapists (PTs) in daily practice. Numerous studies have investigated perceptions about EBP among a variety of health care professionals [9,19,20]. Overall, most of them had positive attitudes towards EBP but lacked the knowledge and skills to implement it.
